About Prof. Kiyoshi Takeda
Kiyoshi Takeda is a professor at Graduate School of Medicine at the University of Osaka and director and professor at the Immunology Frontier Research Center, at the University of Osaka.
His research activity is focused on understanding the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel diseases, particularly the analysis of how intestinal homeostasis is maintained by mucosal immune cells and epithelial cells. He is also analyzing how microbiota resides in the intestine without evoking inflammatory responses and influences the host’s health.
